Terms & Conditions

Effective June 12, 2026

These terms cover your use of the DockGroups macOS application and this website. By downloading or using DockGroups you agree to them. They're written to be read, not to scare you — the short version is: use the app normally, don't redistribute your license, and understand it's provided as-is by an independent developer.

1. The app and license

DockGroups is licensed, not sold. You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the app on Macs you own or control:

You may not resell, share, or publish your license key, attempt to bypass license enforcement, or redistribute modified copies of the app.

2. Purchases and refunds

Pro purchases are processed by Polar, our merchant of record. Your purchase is subject to Polar's checkout terms; payment details are handled entirely by Polar. If something went wrong with your purchase or the app doesn't work on your machine, email us — we'd rather fix it or refund you than have you stuck with something that doesn't work.

3. Updates

Pro is a one-time purchase that includes future updates. We intend to keep improving DockGroups, but we can't promise specific features, compatibility with future macOS versions, or that updates will continue indefinitely. Updates are delivered through the app's built-in updater and are cryptographically signed.

4. Acceptable use

Use DockGroups for what it is — a utility for organizing and launching apps. Don't use it (or its update/licensing infrastructure) to do anything unlawful, to probe or disrupt our services, or to mislead others about the app's origin.

5. No warranty

DockGroups is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted. macOS is Apple's platform and changes beneath us; we work to keep up, but can't guarantee it.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of (or inability to use) DockGroups. Our total liability for any claim related to the app is limited to the amount you paid for it.

7. Privacy

How the app and this website handle data is described in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.

8. Termination

Your license ends automatically if you materially breach these terms (for example, by redistributing license keys). You can stop using the app at any time; deleting the app and its local data fully removes it from your Mac.

9. Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the new version will be posted here with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
